iPad 3 rumors are picking up this week after images of the front and back of the "iPad 3" surfaced. The two biggest things the experts think they have figured out is that it will boast a retina display, which is a fancy word for HD, and will have a much improved camera, similar to the one on the iPhone 4S.
After reading all the rumors and the suspected launch date of early March, I am wondering if I should part ways with my original iPad in hopes to put that cash towards an iPad 3. If you have an original iPad, the window for selling it for at least $100 is about to close. Once the iPad 3 is released, the price for the iPad 2 will drop off and people won't want a two year old iPad for much more than $100.
Currently on eBay, an original iPad with 32GB of storage (which I have) is going for as much as $340. I would estimate that the new iPad 3 16GB (no rumors of if the lowest storage will continue to be 16GB or bump up) would retail new for $499 meaning that I could get a new iPad for a little over $100!
The hardest thing for me to decide is if I should try and sell now while there is no confirmation from Apple that an iPad 3 is coming out OR wait until Apple officially unveils a new iPad. The problem with waiting until Apple makes an announcement is that once they do, the price people are willing to pay for the original iPad will continue to drop. If I go ahead and sell before an official announcement, I will be without my iPad for an undetermined amount of time which I won't like. So, what do you think I should do? What would you do? Leave some comments and help me make my decision. Better yet, if you want an original iPad, make me an offer :)

New iPhone 4S commercials
Apple has released two more iPhone 4S commercials that feature Siri, the virtual personal assistant. The reviews on Siri are mixed but there is no denying that this feature is up and coming after a few less than stellar attempts by other phone makers.
If you have never heard of Siri or have heard of Siri and keep asking yourself what the heck it is, I'll tell you! Siri is a virtual person assistant that is featured on the iPhone 4S which was released in October of 2011. I have found it to be very useful. It will transcribe a text message by saying "Tell my wife I am on my way home", it will remind you to complete a certain task on a specific day at a specific time, it will find directions for you, it will tell you how many calories are in a bagel, and so on and so on. It is still in beta, which in tech terms means it is in a testing phase to work out the kinks and bugs, but I think once Apple has a chance to tweak it and perfect it, it will be a feature people can't live without. Check out the two new commercials below. If you have any questions about Siri, leave a comment or send an email!

Here...we...go!
I've contemplated forever if I should start a blog and I finally decided why not? So, I want to accomplish a couple things with this particular blog.
I first want to be a place where you can come and read opinions on gadgets and gizmos that doesn't have a ton of tech jargon thrown in. I want to appeal to someone who just wants to know if they should buy and iPad or a Kindle Fire without knowing what GB and RAM mean (if you don't know what GB stands for, you're at the right place! If you do, stick around, I'll find something you dont know!). I realize there are a ton of sites that compare everything in the world but sometimes they don't make any sense. If you are trying to decide between two gadgets or just want to get an opinion on something, let me know and I'll tell you what I think in words you understand.
In addition to opinions, I want to offer help on anything you might have related to technology. It changes every day and unlike most of you, I am the type of person who combs through all the latest and greatest so that I am informed and give accurate information. Nothing grinds my gears (Name that show!) more than reading an article or opinion piece where the author clearly didn't do his or her homework.
So, fire away with anything you got. Otherwise, come back often to stay updated on anything and everything technology so you don't sound stupid when a 12 year old kid starts talking about how awesome it's going to be when he gets his new Apple iTV....oh wait, you haven't heard about that?? I told you technology changes everyday, better stay tuned!
